Construct Corporation Ltd has appointed Bill Ballard OBE as its chairman.

Construct Corporation Ltd has been formed to bring new products and innovative management processes to the building and civil engineering sectors.

Bill’s experience is worldwide and extensive in the contracting field with companies, consultancies and manufacturers.  His track record spans more than 40 years with particular experience in the Middle East.  Currently a non-executive Director of a number of UK companies involved in the infrastructure business, Bill commenced his role as non-executive Chairman of Construct on November 1.

Bill said:  “Construct represents a new approach to challenges facing the sectors whilst at the same time reducing costs.  I look forward to working with the new team in Construct Corporation Ltd.”

The senior management team of Construct cut its teeth in the global automotive industry developing processes that have resulted in the removal of around £50 million of supply chain costs through working with major automotive manufacturers and their components suppliers.

Construct’s co-founder Brendan Hand is confident that lessons learnt within the automotive sector will be invaluable in helping construction companies and their customers.

Brendan said:  “What we are about is eliminating all costs that don’t add value to project delivery.  Our processes are proven, robust and readily adaptable.  With the appointment of Bill Ballard and all the knowledge and hands-on experience he brings to the team, we are even more confident that we can make a real difference to our new customers in construction.”
